This is an absolutely gorgeous linen! It is lightweight with a nice hand and soft drape. I washed it in hot water and dried on perma press and it did very well, coming out with a soft rumpled look. An iron set on ‘linen’ took this lovely linen over the top…so beautiful. The color is just as the photograph describes on my Mac computer and did not disappoint both when unpackaging this linen and after wash/dry. It is a bit heavier than a lawn; I would call it lightweight as it is still nicely floaty and drapey. I’m going to use it for a kimono but it would also be perfect for a summer shirt or dress, circle skirt, bedroom pillow covers, lightweight curtains (lining recommended), or even some pretty little linen guest towels. Yes, it’s definitely worth $30.00/yard. PS: A dream to sew on!
