Presenting a luxurious Italian Fuchsia Wool/Cashmere Coating perfect for your next outerwear project! This wool fabric is blended with nylon to make it more durable and increase the performance of such a material. Featuring a thickness of 1/16" you can easily drape capes, coats and overcoats with ease since this material is completely opaque.

At Mood Fabrics, we prioritize efficiency and strive to deliver your fabric orders in a timely manner. Most orders are processed within 72 hours, with international orders potentially requiring an additional 1-2 days for processing. Certain items may have additional processing time, particularly those beginning with PV, FS36003-, SUN, AWG, and "Home" products.

Once your order has been processed and shipped, we use various shipping methods. USPS Ground typically delivers orders within 3-7 business days, UPS 2nd Day Air guarantees delivery within 2 business days, and UPS Next Day Air ensures delivery the next business day after shipping.

For customers needing expedited options, we offer UPS Next Day and 2nd Day Air shipping, available for an additional cost. To qualify for expedited shipping, orders must be placed by 1:00 PM EST.

HOW TO CARE FOR WOOL FABRICS:
Dry-cleaning is recommended, though some wools can take hand washing. Always test a swatch first if you are going to care for your wool fabrics at home rather than using a drycleaner. Many of the fine wools Mood sells online and in-store have already been "sponged," or preshrunk, but you can preshrink your wool if necessary. Mood recommends taking your uncut wool fabric to the drycleaners and asking them to steam it for you, which will safely preshrink it more effectively than you can using home methods.

These care instructions given are for Wool Fabrics in general, however, Mood Fabrics does not accept responsibility for fabrics that are incorrectly laundered/damaged by following these instructions. Customers must test a swatch before laundering any fabrics at home to avoid damaging the goods.

    i just received my package and I immediately fell in love with this Italian Fuchsia Wool/Cashmere Coating. the fabric is a very soft to the touch. It can be used on bothA LIGHT COAT AND ALSO ON A JACKET.

    The fabric is luxurious and beautiful. Rich color, soft to touch. Super easy to work with. I washed the fabric on a delicate cycle in my wash machine in warm water as that is how I would like to clean it in the future. Washed beautifully with approx. 14% shrinkage. Color as bright after wash as prior to wash. One side of the fabric was "fuzzier" after the wash, but that was my intention. I line dried the washed fabric. (I tested with swatches before I treated the fabric). Treating prior to construction with steam or dry cleaning left the material identical to how it arrived from Mood Fabrics. I plan on making a short coat next year with this type of fabric and will send it to the dry cleaners for pre-treatment so the material will remain smooth on both sides.

    I purchased this wool because my sewing group was put to the task of creating a wrap coat. When the challenge was put before me, though I have several yards of coating, I wanted this coat to be something special. I chose the Italian fuchsia and have not regretted it .The wool was very malleable and was very easy to hand tailor. During the sewing process, it accepted steam and maintained it shape, though, I do suggest that you use a press cloth and strips under the seams so that you do not have your seams to show through, but that would be true for any natural fiber. Last week, I decided to wear my coat. It felt wonderful. It fit perfectly, the color is attention-getting and I have taken great care in not only telling people that I made my coat, but where I purchased my fabric. This wool has the drape ability, hand, and shaping style of more expensive wools. I plan on purchasing more in the future.

    Good quality fabric. Will use Mood again. Project not complete, but hoping the Mood purchase will solve my issue on a fuchsia, alligator texture pleater jacket in process (for daughter, not me, as she wanted this pink pleather bomber jacket). Jacket turned out to be was too stiff once I put in the raglan sleeves, as there was zero softness in the wearability. It was my first time working ever with this type of fabric, after sewing for 40 years. I purchased the contrasting fuchsia wool to replace the sleeves (and make the lapel wool as well, so the design might make sense). I could not get same hue of fabric as the pleather, so I I chose a contrasting fuchsia wool in a tone that is quite a bit deeper than the pleather. I have removed the sleeves and am about to proceed. If any knowledgeable sewers out there have thoughts, or know if a sewing blog, I would happily welcome thoughts. Am hoping the pleather which has a supportive hacking holds up after I sew over the same sleeve seams again. It seems stable at this point. The project is a disaster of my own making, as I should have passed on this “ask”.
