This roomy pullover style French smock pattern consists of a loose shirt, the main traditional garb for cheesemakers in Roquefort, France. Also, perfect as a comfortable smock for your studio or daily outings. It is a popular sewing pattern choice for Medieval and Renaissance reenactors, as well as for making an everyday tunic-style shirt. Sized for men and women, the easy-sew smock features shoulder yoke, front placket, simple narrow buttoned neckband, and optional underarm gussets. Sleeves are gathered at the wrist into a buttoned band cuff.

Includes multi-sized tissue pattern and sewing instructions.

Suggested fabrics: Crisp medium-weight fabrics such as gingham, broadcloth, muslin, linen, silk, lightweight corduroy. Traditional smocks have small blue and white checks.

This pattern is available as a Paper pattern and PDF pattern. Choose the
pattern format you want in the drop down menu. The PDF pattern has instructions and files for copy shop (36” and A0), print at home (A4 and 8.5”x11”)
