Both fashions and the arts were tremendously affected by new interpretations of classical styles and outright revolts against tradition. Isadora Duncan (1878-1927) was in influential figure in the 1910s and today is regarded as the founder of modern dance. She revolutionized dance with her free-form interpretive movements, encouraged arts education for children, and scandalized audiences by wearing non-restrictive, flowing robes that she adapted from Classical Greek vase paintings.Â
Our Greek Island Dress sewing pattern pay homage to this unforgettable woman. The Dress is a loose-fitting sheath with back zipper and narrow shoulder straps; the front and the back yoke can be plain or embellished as desired. The Jacket has a center back godet that adds flare without adding fullness, single button-and-loops closure a front, and a dramatic collar that extends over the sleeves like a filmy canopy. Optional braid or trim can suggest Classical Greece, French Country, or any other era. The Tunic is a breeze to sew, with front and back sailor collar and floating sleeve panels that can hang freely or be attached along the top of the arm. Braid trim, ball fringe, or other optional embellishment make this ensemble a fashion for any creative visionary. Â

Shipping Policy
We ship all patterns via USPS Ground Advantage within 1 to 3 business days. We ship within in the United States. We do not ship SewShare orders internationally.
Refund Policy
Our policy lasts 30 days on physical products. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. For PDF patterns, once downloaded, we cannot offer refunds.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable):
Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts, for reasons not due to our error
Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery
Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain number of days.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company; it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded, or will only be refunded at the sale price.
Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at mail@folkwear.com and send your item to: PO Box 732, Fairview, North Carolina US 28730.
Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be emailed to you.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
If you are shipping an item(s) over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item(s).
Suggested fabrics: For the Dress, choose silk or polyester crepe de chine or charmeuse. For the Tunic and Jacket, choose soft, filmy fabrics such as chiffon, georgette, gauze, voile, novelty cut velvet.
